An increasing number of students are enrolling in the postgraduate programs. They may begin with the Graduate Certificate of Theological Studies or move directly to the Master of Theological Studies.

It is important to distinguish study for a higher degree and study in readiness for ordained ministry. The rules applying to higher degree may entitle you to receive the award taking into account previous studies in different fields. That is part of the flexibility of the higher degree system. In order to be ready for licensing in a variety of ministries you need to have more extensive exposure to the content and process in a range of fields including biblical studies, theology, history and ministry practice.
